Prior Lake, MN - The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community announces three classes in 2007 for Emergency Medical Services. Each class is offered at the Mdewakanton Emergency Services fire station at 2525 Flandreau Trail NW, Prior Lake, Minnesota, which is directly across the street from Mystic Lake Casino Hotel.

Mdewakanton Emergency Services also provides customized training for police and fire departments, for example EMT, First Responder, FF1, FF2, and CPR training for lay persons and health professionals. Other Continuing Education Classes are also available.

A First Responder Initial Course will run January 8 -February 19, 2007, on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. The cost for the class is $300 which includes the textbook. This class is open to individuals ages 17 and older.

An EMT-B Initial Course will be offered January 9 -April 26, 2007, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. The cost for this class is $675, which includes the textbook. This class is open to individuals ages 18 and older.

An EMT-B Refresher Course will be offered February 6 - February 22, 2007, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. The cost for this class is $275. This class is open to individuals ages 18 and older.
